LSD: Long Slow Distance

I was just checking my Garmin Activity Reports for the last few months, it's dreadful.

The reports say, "You mister, you fucked up your whole winter preparation". Mainly stress at work, but health and many other distasteful issues, the usual suspects, they hindered me enter the winter as Joe Doe and come out of it as Lance Armstrong.

As Mr Dre puts it, being still the same old G, I'm desperately trying to get back into form and collect some kilometers before the summer comes. Otherwise it's better to watch "ROAM" with some beer at home than go out and blame myself.

But even under pressure, slacking has never been an option for me on a saturday, plus I urgently need those Long Slow Distance Rides to get rid of that fricking spare tire.

So I took off yesterday morning at 10 AM and came back around 5 PM, bagged up some 70 kilometers with my bike and almost 1500 meters of elevation. Beautiful weather, great ride, but I'm done. Literally.

Let's see where we go from here. I'll keep posting.

P.S. Oh, yes, I took a few pictures, too. (click on them for larger versions on flickr)
